The Executive Manager, Quality, Risk, Compliance and Clinical Governance (QRCCG) will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to provide operational management and leadership to the QRCCG Team, to ensure they meet agreed VACCHO program outcomes and specific support to VACCHO member organisations as required. This role has a focus on both internal quality system maintenance as well as external member support of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) including quality accreditation, risk, document control and compliance. This position is responsible for the internal auditing of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and endorsed auditing schedule. The position is also responsible for maintaining ISO 9001:2015 accreditation re-certification and supporting re-accreditation of Rainbow Tick. This role provides leadership regarding the QMS as well as supporting and guiding VACCHO in meeting quality and governance responsibilities. This role oversees the team that supports VACCHO’s Member organisations in all QMS systems to assist them to meet their compliance obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead VACCHO to ISO 9001:2015 and Rainbow tick re-accreditation and certification including.
  • Coordinate, lead and manage the audits and assessments
  • Manage the Risk management systems across VACCHO including maintaining VACCHO’s risk framework, risk policy & procedure, and risk toolkit.
  • Coordinate and facilitate risk workshops with each business unit yearly and provide expert risk advice to business units and managers on projects and other work.
  • Coordinating Occupational Health and Safety activities within VACCHO including committee meetings, mentoring of Health Safety Representatives (HSRs), managing the Hazard Register and Incident Reporting and Complaint Handling.
  • Maintain the governance structures including coordinate, collect, analyse, and report on VACCHO’s governance key performance indicator requirements to VACCHO leadership, and support the Systems management approach that has governance structures in place to meet VACCHO strategic and operational goals.
  • Co-ordinate the priorities of the Quality and Governance Team and direct work amongst team members in line with position descriptions and team and individual work plans.
  • Provide timely feedback and reports to the Chief Operating Officer on progress of team objectives and any specific performance issues amongst the team members which may impact on the expected productivity of the team and program outcomes.
  • Member Support activities including strengthening a suite of tailored Quality, Risk, Compliance and Governance support offerings and resources.
  • Project Management - Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience leading and managing a dynamic team.
  • Experience in implementing and leading proactive Risk Management and frameworks.
  • Demonstrate an understanding in managing a Quality Management system.
  • Demonstrate knowledge on how to support an Organisation through a successful Accreditation.
  • Be able to confidently deliver workshops and training.
  • Understanding of the key principles and quality management and improvement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience using Microsoft applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project Management) combined with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply as your cultural and lived experiences are central to the work we do.
  • Experience using LOGIQC.
  • Experiencing in ISO 90001:2015 and Rainbow Tick Accreditation.

Highly Regarded

  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and commitment to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and health.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Control.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal peoples, Communities, and organisations, in a culturally safe, and appropriate, manner.
  • Demonstrated understanding of LGBTQIASB+ issues and experience with LGBTQIASB+ people via professional engagement, employment or lived experience.
