Our client is a community-based information and resource centre for women that envisages a community in which women exercise equal rights, choose their own destiny and have a safe environment for themselves and their children. They work towards this by providing information and referral, advocacy, capacity building and support services in a range of programs including Staying Home Leaving Violence, Counselling, Case Work, Group Work and Information Services.

This role isn’t your typical Executive Officer role, being hands-on working in both the strategic planning for the organisation as well as operational aspects.
Working closely alongside the Board of Directors as well as other members of the leadership team and external stakeholders so relationship building skills are important.
The Executive Officer is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation with the following key accountabilities:
It is a Full Time role at a total 35 hours per week worked over Monday-Friday. Salary for this role is classified at level 8 in the NSW SCHADS Award (Pay Point to be determined based on experience). The role is based in Mt Druitt but covers the whole of Blacktown LGA therefore will require some travel as necessary.
You will be passionate about women’s services and enthusiastic to lead the organisation into its future. You will have expert skills in developing and maintain relationships as well as a breadth of experience in service delivery to support staff working with clients.
You are a passionate and positive person, not afraid of a challenge with the capacity to adapt to and build new responses in the face of changes in the sector and the funding environment.
You will be a natural leader experienced in managing staff and a strong understanding of the importance of and how to maintain a positive workplace culture.
You will be highly motivated with the ability to manage a big workload with competing priorities.
