The Queensland Sexual Assault Network (QSAN) is the new peak body for specialist sexual violence support and prevention services across Queensland.

We work with specialist sexual violence services, government, community organisations and people with lived experience of sexual violence to strengthen responses to sexual violence, build workforce capability, influence policy reform and improve outcomes for victim-survivors across Queensland.

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Director of Services and Member Engagement to join our Executive Leadership Team and help shape the future of specialist sexual violence support and prevention in Queensland.

This is a unique opportunity to support statewide reform, strengthen the sector and lead work that creates lasting impact.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Services and Member Engagement will lead QSAN’s operational programs and member and stakeholder engagement activities.

The role leads a small team and works closely with members, government, lived experience representatives, researchers and sector partners to strengthen the specialist sexual violence sector across Queensland.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Lead sector partnerships, member engagement and stakeholder collaboration
  • Build QSAN’s evidence base through research, data and evaluation
  • Support advocacy and policy work aligned with QSAN’s priorities
  • Oversee workforce development, training, community education and prevention initiatives
  • Coordinate lived experience participation and engagement
  • Provide strategic leadership as part of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Contribute to organisational growth, culture and continuous improvement

About You

You are a collaborative and strategic leader with experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, advocacy or policy development in the community or human services sector.

You will also bring:

  • Extensive experience in specialist sexual violence services or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of government processes, reform agendas and policy environments
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience leading complex programs and projects
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic and evolving environment

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are required.

Location and Conditions

  • This role can be based anywhere in Queensland (hybrid working arrangements if based in Brisbane)
  • Permanent full-time position (4 days per week considered)
  • SCHADS Award Level 7
