No to Violence is Australia’s largest peak body for services and individuals that work with men who use family violence. No to Violence operates the national Men’s Referral Service, the national Brief Intervention Services and the Victorian based Perpetrator Accommodation Support Service, free, confidential counselling, referral and support services.

About the role

This is a role that involves leading business development and revenue initiatives which will support growth and increase NTV’s external profile.

This role will be expected to work closely on relationship identification and stakeholder development in partnership with the WFD team as well as work with the NTV Head of Communications and the digital team to develop marketing content.

The Business Development Manager will lead on the planning, coordination and implementation of external BD activities according to the strategic initiatives.

Our ideal candidate will be trusted to take the lead, use initiative, and help build our important work across Australia. With skills in sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our vision.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Experience in the development and execution of business development strategy, ideally in the NFP sector, but other product business development would be valuable.
  • Some understanding of the specialist family violence sector. Although this is desirable, it is not essential and can be taught on the job.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Expected to work with membership and engagement officer in development of membership plans and offerings.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or management or equivalent
  • Successful track record in sales and negotiation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with sales techniques
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Ability to deliver presentations
