CAWLS is a busy community legal practice with a vibrant and dedicated team committed to providing representation and excellent outcomes for our clients through law reform, legal advice & representation, community legal education and outreach. Many of our clients are women who have experienced or are experiencing Domestic and Family violence.
We are seeking a self-motivated candidate to join our team as a client support and Community Engagement Officer. This position is based in Alice Springs and includes travel assisting our outreach team to deliver services in remote communities across Central Australia. This position is Full - Time 18-month contract (may be ongoing subject to funding).

CAWLS service delivery includes legal advice & representation, court support, client support, financial counselling, community education & outreach services.
CAWLS is an accredited community legal centre, a member of Women’s Legal Services Australia, and a specialist domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) service.
The Client Support & Community engagement Officer has various roles and responsibilities including providing high quality, culturally safe and holistic client support assistance, including not limited to DFSV safety planning, legal health check assessments, systems navigation assistance, and social supports within CAWLS practice areas, with particular focus on clients experiencing or at risk of experiencing DFSV.
