The role you could play

We are seeking a dedicated Homelessness Specialist to provide expertise in Homelessness practice to support and improve service delivery across Australia. You will be responsible to help contribute to national plans, frameworks and practice to ensure quality client-centred service delivery to meet current and future needs.

Duties

  • Support State Managers to implement frameworks, strategic plans and models of service delivery
  • Coordinate and facilitate Communities of Practice to share knowledge and expertise of practitioners across Australia
  • Support implementation of homelessness and cross stream (AOD, Youth, Family Violence) policy and procedure
  • Stay informed of accreditation, and quality requirements specific to homelessness services
  • Support workforce commitment to quality service provision, inclusive of accredited services
  • Collaboratively support meeting relevant accreditation standards

This is a permanent full-time position, based in Coburg, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 7 Award.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development or related field and relevant experience
  • Post-graduate qualification would be highly regarded
  • Experience in social and community services programs including program management in Homelessness and community housing
  • Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within the Homelessness sector
  • Experience in translating high level strategy into practice at a service level
  • Current Driver's Licence
