We are committed to the cultural safety of all children, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds. We strive to provide a safe environment for children with a disability, and the safety of children who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community. We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming learning environment that recognises and values the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all children, families, and the local community.
YRK is committed to building a Board that reflects and values the diversity of the communities we serve. We welcome applications from people of all genders, ages and cultural backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ people, and people from diverse family, caring, socioeconomic and community backgrounds. We also encourage applications from people who may be new to Board roles. Applicants who require adjustments or support during the recruitment process are encouraged to let us know.
