Our work has actively contributed to improving the health, safety and wellbeing of women and their children in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne since 1988.

About the role

The Director of Integrated Family Violence Services has overall responsibility for the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of a range of integrated accessible and culturally appropriate family violence services for women and children. Drawing on sound leadership and high-level communication skills, this pivotal role is responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality and integrated family violence services, programs and initiatives that reflect WHW’s strategic direction and core values. The director also takes a lead role in developing strategic partnerships across the western region that work to improve family violence response strategies and in advocating for the needs of women and children who experience family violence.

The Director of Integrated Family Violence Services is a member of the executive team at Women’s Health West and reports directly to the CEO. This position is therefore expected to play a lead role in ensuring the organisation’s vision, goals and annual priorities are promoted and achieved. The position is full-time and ongoing, with a base annual salary of $110,900 plus 9.5% superannuation and personal use of a service vehicle.

About you

As a successful incumbent, you will possess both tertiary qualifications in social work (or a related discipline) and relevant post-graduate qualifications (highly regarded). You will demonstrate extensive leadership experience in the family violence service provision field, and exceptional skills in stakeholder management. You will also demonstrate ethics, integrity and excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with thorough understanding and working knowledge of the family violence sector.
