Join the Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (WDVCAS) at WASH House and play a vital role in supporting women and children experiencing domestic and family violence across Northwest Sydney. The Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Program (WDVCAP) is committed to creating a community where women and children live free from domestic and family violence. Through a specialist, trauma-informed and culturally safe approach, we provide risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, court support, referrals and coordinated responses that prioritise the safety, dignity and wellbeing of victim-survivors.
As the WDVCAS Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, accessible and client-centred services. You will lead and support a multidisciplinary team, oversee service compliance and continuous improvement, build strong partnerships with courts, government agencies and community organisations, and contribute to policy development, community education and sector advocacy to strengthen outcomes for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.
WASH House is a resource centre for women, proudly supporting the Blacktown community for over 40 years. Our mission is to reduce the impacts of poverty, social disadvantage, and violence, while empowering women to lead safe, connected, and fulfilling lives.
Our work is grounded in Our Values of Equality, Justice, Respect, Courage, Non- Violence, Empowerment, Integrity and Inclusion.
We deliver a range of integrated services, including case management, counselling, therapeutic programs, skills building and social group programs, advocacy, and community engagement. We prioritise supporting our staff to deliver trauma informed, client centred and culturally safe services.
You are an experienced and confident leader with a strong commitment to supporting women and children affected by domestic and family violence. You bring demonstrated management experience in community services or a related sector and are capable of overseeing the day-to-day operations of a service while making sound, independent decisions that ensure effective and responsive service delivery.
You are skilled in building and maintaining strong partnerships with government and community stakeholders and are comfortable working across multiple sites and outreach settings. You have a collaborative leadership style, a strong understanding of interagency practice, and experience contributing to Safety Action Meetings (SAMs) or similar forums. Above all, you are committed to driving high-quality, trauma-informed and client-centred services that prioritise safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes for women and children.
