We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. As the Executive Manager, Balit Durn Durn Centre (BDDC) you will lead a small team and provide direct management of the key agreed actions in the BDDC strategic plan and the VACCHO strategic plan 2026 – 2031. This role will be responsible for working collaboratively and driving work on key focusses areas funded to the BDDC but not limited to:
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident communicator who understands the intersectionality within the social and emotional wellbeing space, including between AOD, mental health and suicide prevention. You are adaptable, have lots of initiative and are responsive to the issues impacting Aboriginal Community and ACCO’s.
You are organised and will enjoy juggling multiple priorities and time demands, while drawing on your expertise to coach and guide your small, dedicated team. Your strong communication skills and cultural identity will help you to communicate effectively with Community, government departments and other stakeholders.
