The Salvation Army Australia's Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children's and parenting services, counselling, support, men's programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.

Graceville Women's Refuge provides short-medium term accommodation for women with (or without) children who are fleeing family violence or experiencing homelessness as a result of family violence. Split into two wings, Nunyara has 6 units for single women and Byanda has 6 units for women and children.

We are seeking a Team Leader, reporting to the Program Manager. You will oversee the daily service operations of frontline staff out of Graceville Women's Refuge. This is a permanent, full-time position.

This position is primarily Monday to Friday with hours between 7 am and 7 pm; however, there may be the occasion whereby hours of work will fall outside of this rotation and you will be required to be On-Call to support the 24 hr service.

This is a permanent full-time position located in Perth, WA.

You will successfully

  • Build productive relationships within the local community
  • Implement the service delivery processes and tools
  • Provide specialist expertise to workers to resolve complex case management issues
  • Monitor service performances targets and collaboratively identifying strategies to address issues
  • Monitor risk to clients, staff and TSA in service delivery providing responses to incidents
  • Monitor relevant aspects of budgets and expenditure, including client brokerage
  • Maintain accurate client records in accordance with legislative requirements

The Salvation Army is subject to public health orders. You may be required to provide evidence of vaccine status dependent on requirements.

You will have

  • Relevant degree (social work, social science, psychology, counselling) with relevant experience; or associate diploma with substantial experience; or qualifications in more than one discipline with specialised skills
  • Minimum 5 years combined experience in complex case management and outreach support services
  • Experience in specialist family violence and/ or child wellbeing work is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and supervising a multidisciplinary team
  • A valid Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Current WA Drivers licence
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police check
