About the role

We are seeking a motivated, community-minded Community & Partnerships Coordinator to strengthen community partnerships, support coordinated local service responses, and increase engagement and connection through the Kanwal Hub.

Working across Communities for Children and Community Hubs, this role will focus on building purposeful partnerships, coordinating activity with local services and supporting more connected, responsive outcomes for children and families.

You will act as a central point of coordination across internal teams and community partners, helping to align activity, identify opportunities for collaboration and strengthen how services work together locally.

Key duties

  • Proactively build and strengthen partnerships that can be brought into and activated through the Kanwal Hub.
  • Support coordinated planning and delivery of partnership activity across Communities for Children.
  • Ensure partnership work is intentional, aligned and contributes to community outcomes.
  • Act as a central point of coordination across internal teams and community partners, supporting a more connected and responsive local system for families.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen service connections, referral pathways and collaborative responses to emerging community needs.
  • Coordinate multiple pieces of work, manage timelines, and work across stakeholders to deliver partnership initiatives and smaller scale activities.
  • Support Communities for Children through the current reform period by strengthening partnerships and improving how services connect and work together locally.

Skills and Experience

You will bring a practical, collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across community, service and internal stakeholders. You will also have:

  • Experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement or community coordination.
  • Relevant qualifications in community services, social sciences, community development, project coordination or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate activities, manage competing priorities and follow through on agreed actions.
  • Ability to facilitate conversations, coordinate stakeholder input and support collaborative responses to community needs.
  • Confidence using digital systems to record information, monitor activity, support reporting and communicate with stakeholders.
  • A current driver's licence.
