Talenting is partnering with the Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing (CWSW), Western Australia’s peak body advancing women’s safety and family and domestic violence reform, to recruit a Aboriginal Strategy and Engagement Manager for its newly funded Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Workforce Entity.
CWSW and its consortium partners have been funded by the WA Government to establish a new Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Workforce Entity - a major statewide initiative to strengthen workforce capability and support the delivery of system-wide reform across Western Australia.
Working in partnership with government, specialist FDV services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, training providers and research institutions, the Entity will drive long-term workforce development and coordination across the sector. This is a meaningful opportunity to play a key role in shaping practical workforce capability initiatives that support a skilled, safe and sustainable FDV workforce across WA.
The Aboriginal Strategy and Engagement Manager has a central role in shaping the work of Western Australia's new Family and Domestic Violence Workforce Entity. The role is responsible for ensuring Aboriginal approaches to workforce development are in line with the FDV System Reform Plan and Closing the Gap priorities, while upholding cultural authority and shared decision-making.
This position works with the Executive Director and entity staff to ensure Aboriginal voices, cultural knowledges, research and evidence-based practice and lived experience are embedded in strategy, governance, training programs and workforce development initiatives. It strengthens partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to improve family and domestic violence responses and outcomes for Aboriginal women, children, families and communities.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead Aboriginal strategy, engagement and capacity building across the FDV Workforce Entity.
You will:
