About Shine

Shine People Solutions is a proudly Aboriginal-owned and operated consultancy committed to connecting exceptional talent with purpose-driven organisations. We work with clients who are serious about creating inclusive, culturally safe workplaces and driving real change for First Nations communities.

About Our Client

Our client, the Zero Net Emissions Agriculture Cooperative Research Centre (ZNE‑Ag CRC), brings together industry, research, government and community partners to accelerate Australia’s transition to net zero emissions in agriculture.

A key part of this vision is the establishment of a First Nations Academy - a nationally significant initiative focused on two-way knowledge exchange, culturally grounded learning, and creating meaningful pathways for First Nations peoples in agriculture, research, and emerging low-emissions technologies.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead the design and delivery of a National First Nations Academy, shaping how knowledge, partnerships and opportunities are built across Australia’s agricultural sector.

As the Project Lead – First Nations Academy, you’ll act as a cultural and strategic connector bringing together First Nations communities, partners, researchers and educators to co-design impactful education and training outcomes.

This role is not just strategic. It is also hands-on. You’ll build relationships, deliver outcomes, and help embed First Nations ways of knowing, being and doing into work of the CRC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the co-design, implementation and continuous improvement of the First Nations Academy
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with First Nations communities, partners and stakeholders
  • Deliver work-integrated learning and training initiatives aligned to CRC milestones
  • Embed culturally grounded governance and co-design approaches across programs
  • Manage budgets, reporting and delivery against key milestones
  • Support positioning of the organisation as a national leader in First Nations engagement in agriculture
  • Develop resources, tools and knowledge products that support capability building across partners

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who is a strong relationship builder, outcomes-focused, and skilled at bringing people together to achieve shared goals.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience working with First Nations communities in a culturally safe and respectful way
  • Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships across diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in education, training, or work-integrated learning initiatives
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote, distributed team environment
  • Demonstrated experience delivering outcomes, not just managing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet milestones

Highly regarded:

  • Experience in agriculture, natural resource management or research environments
  • Understanding of co-design, governance and culturally grounded program delivery

If you’re passionate about creating meaningful impact, building genuine partnerships, and shaping the future of First Nations engagement in agriculture, we’d love to hear from you.
