What you’ll do

You’ll be part of the senior team in the Family Safety Program and across the organisation, a key advisor to the Family Safety Program Manager in their practice area. You’ll provide coordination, supervision and leadership in the program area, as well as providing direct service to clients who are Victim Survivors and Men who use violence. The role also involves project coordination of the Building Stronger Families project. Building Stronger Families is an in language and culturally adapted group program which takes a whole family approach to men's behaviour change in a partnership project between RANSW and Settlement Services International.

The details:

  • Part time contract to 30/6/23 – 3 or 4 days
  • Based at Blacktown
  • Approx $48 per hour + super + salary packaging benefits

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in the human services area (eg social work, psychology), or other relevant qualifications in MBC/DV and specific therapeutic group work training
  • Demonstrated skills, experience and training as a clinical supervisor, giving and receiving live individual and group work supervision
  • Five years’ experience in the area of Family Violence (individual and/or family work) and a demonstrated understanding of Family Violence issues
  • Five years’ experience full time group worker or 2,500 hours of supervised group work clinical practice
  • Extensive experience in domestic violence work and men’s behaviour change
  • Demonstrated experience in working with different cultures especially in relation to family violence issues
  • Demonstrated competence and understanding of culturally responsive practice working with people form migrant and refugee backgrounds
  • Demonstrated competence and understanding of working within a trauma informed framework
  • Community Development and project management experience
