This exciting new role of Head of Research and Impact will embed evidence and impact assessment into the core of RANSW strategy as well as the design and delivery of services, ensuring clarity of the effectiveness and outcomes of our work.

As an integral member of the Leadership Team, you’ll report to the General Manager, Customer Experience, helping to shape organisational direction and priorities using your strong influencing capabilities.

What you’ll do

  • Formulate and drive RANSW’s impact and measurement framework determining the tools and methodologies that best suit our context and strategic goals
  • Craft and monitor the appropriate mix of evidence required to embed and assess impact and ensure a strong ROI on all research and evaluation investments across the organisation
  • Direct analysis and production of key insights to inform our organisation’s thought leadership
  • Lead a high-performing mixed-method research team to produce insights that inform, serve and educate multiple audiences, from clients to funders
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure our research and evaluation findings are delivered as clear, impactful communications
  • Develop and sustain relationships with external stakeholders that support our research agenda, and collaborate with RANSW’s government relations, communications and fundraising leads to identify insights and evidence to inspire powerful storytelling

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications and significant experience in a similar role
  • Experience leading impact strategies in a community services context
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full suite of a research and insights function
  • Experience working with service users and an understanding of human centred design, co-design, and lean and agile approaches
  • Strong change management and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with proven ability to translate strategy into programs of work
