The Queensland Sexual Assault Network (QSAN) is the peak body for specialist sexual violence support and prevention services in Queensland.

We work with specialist sexual violence services, government, community organisations and people with lived experience of sexual violence to strengthen responses to sexual violence, build workforce capability, influence policy reform and improve outcomes for victim-survivors across Queensland.

As QSAN grows, we are seeking a collaborative and passionate Workforce and Sector Development Coordinator to lead initiatives that strengthen capability, consistency and quality across Queensland’s specialist sexual violence sector.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future workforce of specialist sexual violence services through training, sector collaboration and workforce development across Queensland.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Services and Member Engagement, this role will lead workforce development initiatives that support a skilled, sustainable and inclusive specialist sexual violence workforce.

Working closely with QSAN members, subject matter experts and lived experience representatives, the role will coordinate training, communities of practice and sector development initiatives aligned with QSAN’s priorities.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Develop and implement statewide workforce development initiatives
  • Identify workforce capability gaps, training needs and emerging issues
  • Design and deliver training, workshops and professional development
  • Develop practice resources, tools and guidelines
  • Coordinate communities of practice and sector networking opportunities
  • Support collaboration and knowledge sharing across member organisations
  • Maintain records, evaluation and reporting on workforce development outcomes

About You

You are an engaging and organised professional with experience in workforce development, training, facilitation or sector capability building in the community services sector.

You will also bring:

  • Strong facilitation, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience designing and delivering training and professional development
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, gender-based violence and feminist frameworks
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Commitment to ethical, inclusive and values-driven practice

Experience working within specialist sexual violence services, community services or peak bodies will be highly regarded.

Location and Conditions

  • This role can be based anywhere in Queensland (hybrid working arrangements if based in Brisbane)
  • Permanent full-time position (4 days per week considered)
  • SCHADS Award Level 6
