Through inclusive hospitality and support services, we walk with those experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence, mental health challenges, economic hardship, social isolation, and displacement as refugees.

About the Role

Do you have a sharp eye for detail, a commitment to accuracy, and a passion for variety in finance and accounting?

We are seeking a Finance and Operations Officer to oversee PCUC and Parramatta Mission’s Finance and Accounting system (Business Central) and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and supporting operational efficiency across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate day‑to‑day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and other transactional processing
  • Manage the bank reconciliation process within and outside the finance system across daily, monthly, and annual cycles
  • Prepare and post month‑end journals as directed by the Finance Manager or Business Manager
  • Support End‑of‑Year audits by collating and providing financial information as required to external auditors
  • Assist with preparation of timely and accurate month‑end reconciliations
  • Produce periodic asset register reports for inclusion in monthly reporting
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial and management reports
  • Provide financial and analytical support to the Finance Manager, Business Manager, and Lead Minister
  • Support executives with projects and operational tasks as required

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance operations role
  • Experience with Xero is highly regarded
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with commercial financial systems
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while remaining composed
  • A broad organisational perspective, with the ability to see beyond “just the numbers”
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting processes
  • Experience supporting IT systems and vendors is an advantage
