Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council was founded and is still led, governed and directed by women from the NPY region. Today, we continue to provide progressive, innovative and evidence-based work in service delivery, advocacy and support.

At its core NPY Women’s Council is about family and community – Walytja. Our purpose is to work side by side with women, children and their families of the NPY region in central Australia to help increase their capacity to lead safe and healthy lives with improved life choices.

You will work within a supportive, trauma informed framework and have the opportunity to learn community development and intercultural liaison from highly skilled, experienced professionals. We provide a comprehensive orientation program, best practice supervision, professional development that includes vicarious trauma and case management training along with critical incident de-briefing and a range of counselling services to support you.

In addition to this we offer a generous remuneration package. You will receive an above award salary, additional superannuation, salary packaging benefits, 6 weeks of annual leave, 3 weeks of personal leave (to care for you and your family) and a retention bonus.
