No to Violence is Australia’s largest peak body for services and individuals that work with men who use family violence. No to Violence operates the national Men’s Referral Service, the national Brief Intervention Services and the Victorian based Perpetrator Accommodation Support Service, free, confidential counselling, referral and support services.

About the role

Reporting to the Direct Services Manager, the Coordinator – Brief Intervention Service will be responsible for the daily oversight of the Brief Intervention Service including staff support and supervision, management of brokerage and stakeholder engagement in consultation with senior management. The role will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the service ensuring practice excellence and quality management processes are in line with program expectations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and supervision to staff including high level advice with regards to best practice.
  • Lead the development, implementation and currency/maintenance of a Practice Manual for the Brief Intervention Service.
  • Ensure practice and service models are developed in line with client and funding body feedback, research, sector and organisational progression.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency of practice and service delivery.
  • Identify, develop, and support and/or implement new initiatives, quality and continuous improvement activities in own work and that of the Family Violence Counselling Team.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Trained and experienced in family work/therapy for families affected by family violence.
  • A primary focus on human behaviour, family dynamics and/or impacts of trauma arising from family violence and sexual assault.
  • Demonstrated experience, training, and skills in clinical supervision.
  • Experience and skill in policy development and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement of practices and service delivery leading to practice excellence within men’s family violence.
