Due to expansion of service, new and exciting opportunities are available to utilise and enhance your social work skills working at South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) as Counsellor/Advocate (Grade 2).
SECASA attracts candidates who understand sexual assault and family violence as a human rights issue, and have experience working with complex interpersonal trauma. SECASA Counsellor/Advocates work collaboratively with clients to support empowerment, safety, recovery and justice seeking. This role will suit innovative candidates who strive to learn and embrace emerging practice directions. We are highly driven by internal collaborative relationships and value enthusiastic work practices and enhancing team relationships.
The position is responsible for delivering high-quality counselling and advocacy to victim survivors of sexual assault and family violence, using frameworks of intersectionality, trauma focused interventions, gender equality and a human rights based approach.

The South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) provides sexual assault and family violence therapeutic support and advocacy across nine locations within south eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne. SECASA delivers a wide range of services including individual and group counselling, advocacy, crisis support, and community education prioritising the empowerment of victim survivors.

Are you a social worker with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience?
