About the role

Maganda Makers Ltd is seeking a General Manager to lead the next phase of its work across the Kimberley.

Maganda Makers brings together Aboriginal women leaders and works to strengthen entrepreneurship, leadership and community prosperity across the region. This is a senior leadership role for someone who can combine strategy, relationships and practical delivery in a culturally grounded and community-informed way.

The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organisation, working closely with the Board and supported by a COO structure. The role will guide organisational development, partnerships, systems, projects, funding and reporting, while helping turn vision into practical outcomes.

About you

You will likely bring:

• senior leadership experience in a General Manager, Executive Manager, Director or similarly senior role
• strong experience leading people, programs or organisations through growth, change or complexity
• ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal communities and within Kimberley contexts
• experience across planning, operations, finance, governance, contracts, compliance and reporting
• strong communication, relationship-building and representation skills
• confidence working with government, philanthropy, community and other strategic partners
• a practical, steady approach with the ability to move between big-picture thinking and day-to-day delivery

Location and support

The role can be based anywhere in the Kimberley, with preference for Kununurra. Accommodation is not provided; however, rental support may be negotiable for the right candidate.
