Here’s where you come in:

As Chief of Party – TB/HIV Portfolio, you will provide overall strategic leadership to the TB/HIV Portfolio and is responsible for the successful implementation of the TB/HIV work of World Vision in Papua New Guinea (WV-PNG). You shall provide leadership oversight to all technical, administrative, fiscal, contract administration and general management assuring quality and impact, as well as cost effectiveness of all the grants within the portfolio. You will be in a senior leadership role, providing strategic direction for effective project implementation across the TB/HIV portfolio. You will ensure effective coordination across portfolio projects in order to realise and benefit from synergies and cross learning among portfolio teams.

Requirements include:

  • At least 5 to 10 years of work experience in TB and/or HIV control efforts with government, international NGOs, and/or Global Fund grant programs, coupled with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing or administrating complex health projects, including at least 5 years in a senior management position supervising senior staff in an international or multicultural environment, with a willingness to collaborate with local authorities, private sector leaders, and to visit remote communities/villages in the area.
  • Five-years or more, experience at a senior leadership level.
  • Work experience with other INGO in similar role in public health and experience in project implementations.
  • Dealing with multiple partners/stakeholders, and coordinating with a team that is geographically dispersed.
  • Advanced Degree in Public Health, Health Management or Epidemiology is an advantage.
  • An Undergraduate Degree in Medicine is required for this role.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with the Global Fund Projects and ensuring compliance with the GF requirements.
