The Business Manager is a senior, organisation-wide role that plays a critical part in ensuring the financial sustainability, compliance, and operational efficiency of HKCT. Working closely with the General Manager and Board, the Business Manager oversees finance, business systems, contracts, and reporting, while strengthening organisational capability and supporting strategic growth in community transport services.

This role is ideal for a values-driven professional who enjoys working across governance, finance, operations, and stakeholder engagement in a purpose-led environment.

About you

You are a capable and collaborative business professional with a strong understanding of not-for-profit or community-based organisations.

You bring:

• Proven experience in business management, finance, or operations
• Strong financial acumen, including budget preparation and reporting
• Experience working with Boards, senior leadership, or governance structures
• Knowledge of compliance, contracts, and funding environments (community, health, aged care, or transport highly regarded)
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A strategic mindset with the ability to balance detail and big-picture thinking
• A genuine commitment to community impact and social purpose
