The Haymarket Foundation is a local, secular, charitable organisation that works with people experiencing homelessness and other disadvantage in Sydney.

The Haymarket Foundation exists to give opportunities to people marginalised by society. We understand the people we work with come from a background of complex trauma, and we use this understanding to advocate and deliver multidisciplinary services that are inclusive safe, and person-centred.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Client Services Manager and working closely with the CEO and Managers, the Quality Coordinator plays a critical role in driving compliance, quality, and safety across the organisation.

The Quality Coordinator supports the development, review and implementation of policies and procedures that align with the Haymarket Foundation’s vision and mission to improve the outcomes for the staff and clients. They provide expert analysis, conduct research, and ensure policy development aligns with the organisations’ quality and compliance framework. 

The role is critical in shaping the organisation’s approach to meeting client needs, promoting best practices, and driving service improvement. 

The Quality Coordinator also oversees Haymarket’s accreditation processes, ensuring the organisation consistently meets and maintains relevant accreditation standards to a high level.

ABOUT YOU

You are looking to work part time - 3 days per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and review of organisation-wide policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation, standards and best practice.
  • Support and strengthen incident and risk management systems, including reporting, analysis and maintaining risk registers.
  • Coordinate accreditation processes and ensure ongoing compliance with QIC standards.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement across the organisation through monitoring, Reporting and staff support.
  • Coordinate the Quality & Compliance Committee and contribute to strong governance and compliance practices.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, community services, quality management, or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality documentation
  • High level understanding of homelessness, alcohol and other drug use, complex trauma, government and community-based services
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to culturally safe, respectful and inclusive practice, including working with First Nations communities and people from multicultural and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated high level understanding of clinical and corporate governance, and quality, safety and risk management systems and principles
  • Proven experience in development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures in a service delivery context
  • Experience in quality management within the homelessness, AOD or broader health and welfare sectors
  • Experience in managing or contributing to organisation-wide accreditation processes, particularly under the QIC framework (or equivalent), including self-assessment and evidence collation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint)
