A vital part of Global Sisters’ mission is to remove barriers to women’s economic security. One of our four systems change focus areas is Financial Pathways, where we work to improve accessibility and inclusion in the financial services sector for women on low incomes and micro business owners.
We are seeking a Head of Microfinance to lead our Financial Pathways work within the Systems Change stream.
About the role
Reporting to the COO and working closely with the Head of Programs and Finance, this role is responsible for:
Financial Pathways programs
- Leading the promotion, refinement and delivery of Financial Pathways business financial education programs
- Monitoring outcomes and continuously improving program quality and reach
Micro loan program delivery and growth
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, performance and risk management of the micro loan program
- Identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and expand impact
Partnership and Sister pipeline management
Managing and strengthening existing partnerships and pathways, including:
- Imalia Business Insurance
- AMP business financials
- Regional Australia Bank home loan product
You will also build and maintain an effective Sister pipeline into these offerings.
New product and service development
- Identifying gaps and opportunities for new products and services
- Co-designing and negotiating new offerings with banks and financial institutions, including a business micro loan product
- Leading implementation planning and ongoing performance management
About you
This role would suit someone with:
- Operational microfinance experience with hands-on delivery experience
- Demonstrated financial product development experience
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Experience delivering financial education programs
- Proven capability building and managing corporate partnerships, ideally within financial services
- Strong communication skills
- Comfort working autonomously within a remote team
- Strong values alignment and commitment to women’s economic security, women’s micro business and financial inclusion
