The Family Violence Practitioner - Women’s, provides intensive, innovative and holistic interventions to victim-survivors of family violence.
This includes providing Family Violence counselling to victim-survivors and support to the partners/ex-partners/family members of the men attending the Men’s Behaviour Change Program due to perpetrating Family Violence.
The role works with the women to assess risk, complete safety plans, and requires communication throughout the man’s MBCP service to ensure the safety of the women and children. The Family Violence Practitioner - Women’s role also involves supporting women to address the impact of family violence and to support them in a short-term counselling capacity.
The Family Safety Contact Worker will provide support to the partners/ex-partners/family members of the men attending the Men’s Behaviour Change Program due to perpetrating Family Violence.
