ABOUT THE ROLE

The Account Strategy Director is a senior member of Donor Republic’s management team, responsible for leading strategic account management across a portfolio of key agency clients. Working closely with Group Account Directors and Directors, this role supports clients to design and implement effective major gift and relationship fundraising strategies that drive strong outcomes.

The role manages day-to-day client relationships, ensuring deliverables are met on time, with accuracy, and to a consistently high standard. Maintaining exceptional client service and trusted partnerships is central to the position.

The primary focus is Donor Republic’s major gift and relationship fundraising offering, including leading and supporting projects such as major gift upskilling, mentoring, case for support development, and strategy. Client portfolios may include corporates and trusts and foundations, approached through a relationship-led methodology that builds strong connections with decision-makers and delivers tailored proposals.

As the Philanthropy & Partnerships team grows, the Account Strategy Director will contribute to building and mentoring a high-performing team, helping to strengthen and scale Donor Republic’s major gift practice.

You are confident partnering with senior stakeholders, translating strategy into action, and delivering results in a fast-paced agency environment. Commercially savvy and highly organised, you balance exceptional client service with strong project and financial management. You bring a collaborative leadership style, enjoy mentoring others, and actively contribute to a positive, values-led culture. Above all, you are motivated by purpose-driven work and passionate about helping charities achieve meaningful, sustainable impact.

Ideally, you will live in either Melbourne or Sydney.
