The Community Partnerships unit works with residents and groups to support our community to be inclusive, strong and connected. The unit is responsible for understanding the needs and priorities of the community to deliver on Council’s commitments under the recently adopted Council Plan 2025-2029, including in relation to equity, participation, accessibility, safety, respect for others and sense of belonging – creating a welcoming community for all.
The unit employs approximately 32 staff and has an expenses budget of approximately $5 million. Further information is found at our website.
You will ensure the financial performance of the unit, undertake policy and strategy development, have a continuous improvement focus and build and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
As a member of our senior leadership team, you will play a key role in the unit and City achieving its objectives and priorities.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive leadership experience, qualifications and expertise in public policy and ideally a background in the community or government sector.
You will have a background in program and policy development, the ability to drive performance and quality outcomes across your team, sound financial management and communication skills, and a desire to work in partnership with the community and other public and community sector entities.
