The Centre for Women & Co. (CFW) is a not-for-profit company, we work to support individuals, children and families towards creating physical and emotional safety. We do this through providing a specialist range of Women’s Health and Wellbeing, Domestic & Family Violence and Sexual Assault support services. We work from an evidence-based, trauma-informed and reflective practice framework. We also have a subsidiary service called Men & Co. Services, providing support services to men and young men.
We are looking for a strong values aligned and principled collaborative leader with a personal drive to ensure that people have access to high quality specialist services. You will be motivated by a desire to advance the human rights, equity, and safety for all people.
As an independent Company Secretary, you will be independent of management and free of any business or other relationship that could materially interfere with your ability to provide unfettered and independent judgement. Working closely with the CEO and Chair of the Board, your role will be to ensure transparency and accountability to the members and to provide authoritative, trustworthy, and reliable governance advice to the Board and Senior Leadership team. Central to your role will be the ability to bring the Board to the highest level of performance through applied governance principles and adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements governing directors in the carriage of their duties.
