The Role

Purpose of Role

The Co-Engagement DFV Specialist role is responsible for providing services directly to women who are experiencing Domestic and/or Family Violence. Specifically working alongside and providing advocacy to QPS for CFW clients who are deemed at high risk and require support from QPS in the Logan and Crestmead area. The role involves directly responding to clients who present in crisis, providing immediate support to clients requiring risk assessment, safety intervention and planning as well as urgent referrals and supportive monitoring and follow up. You will work collaboratively with team members and other agencies and organisations to develop appropriate and innovative responses to prevent violence within the Logan and/or Redlands Community.

Salary and Benefits

  • SCHADS Level 5.1 ($47.50 p/h) | Full Time (38 Hours a week) | Contract until June 30 2025

Experience and Qualifications

Essential Tertiary Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or human services (alongside relevant experience) received from a recognised university.

Essential Experience

Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of Domestic and Family Violence, and its effect on women, children and the wider community and demonstrated understanding of and experience working within current legislation (Domestic and Family Violence Act 2012).

Preferred Experience

Demonstrated experience and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
