About your environment

Since our establishment in 1936, Cancer Council Victoria has developed an international reputation for our innovative work in cancer research, prevention and support. As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, we play a leading role in reducing the impact of all cancers on all people.

The Prevention Division works to reduce the risk of cancer in the Victorian population through social marketing, advocacy, professional education and evidence-based programs. The Screening, Early Detection and Immunisation team focuses on saving lives and equitably improving cancer outcomes through screening, early detection and immunisation.

This includes advocating for and delivering initiatives that address the growing burden of liver cancer, with a particular focus on hepatitis B as a preventable cause of liver cancer.

About your opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to join the Screening, Early Detection and Immunisation team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Liver Cancer, your role is to lead the day-to-day implementation, project management, partner coordination and continuous improvement of Cancer Council Victoria’s hepatitis B and liver cancer micro-elimination program across Melbourne’s western corridor.

The landmark project will deliver an innovative bicultural navigator and nurse-led model of care, and build primary care capacity across Wyndham, Melton, Brimbank and Maribyrnong. The program aims to increase hepatitis B testing, diagnosis, linkage to care, treatment and liver cancer surveillance for the Chinese and Vietnamese communities.

All about you

We are looking for someone with strong health system literacy, experience working across primary and tertiary care, a sound understanding of clinical governance, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to deliver a care pathway safely and effectively. You will be outcomes-focused and comfortable working towards ambitious program and population-level outcomes, using data and implementation learning to keep the project on track, pivot when necessary and maximise impact.

What we can offer you
