BayCISS

About BayCISS

BayCISS (Bayside Community Information and Support Service Inc.) is a registered not for profit community charity that has been supporting people across the Bayside and parts of Kingston local government areas since 1973.

We provide free and low cost services to vulnerable, at-risk and low-income community members, including emergency relief, information, referral, advocacy, the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) and an education support program. We also operate the Castlefield Community Centre in Hampton.

As a small charity, BayCISS relies on the dedication of our volunteers, staff and partners to support local people through times of hardship with care, dignity and respect.

In a small charity like ours, every Committee member has a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.

  • Governance and strategic planning

We would also be pleased to hear from people with other relevant experience who may complement and strengthen the existing Committee.

You will:

  • Be passionate about supporting people in need in our community
  • Be prepared to commit your time and energy
  • Bring skills, ideas and experience that round out our Committee’s capabilities
  • Invest the time to prepare for meetings and follow through on agreed actions
  • Help represent the interests of BayCISS to the broader community

We welcome applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
