Australian Quality Certification Pty Ltd trading as Australian QC is a JAS-ANZ accredited conformity assessment body providing independent conformity assessment, audit and certification services across a range of certification programs and industry sectors.
Australian QC operates in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065 and applicable accreditation, regulatory and scheme requirements. Impartiality, independence, competence, transparency and evidence-based decision-making are fundamental principles of Australian QC’s certification activities.
As Australian QC continues to strengthen its governance and impartiality arrangements, we are seeking suitably qualified and independent individuals to contribute to our Impartiality Committee and support confidence in the integrity, objectivity and impartiality of Australian QC’s certification activities across all applicable certification schemes and programs.
The Impartiality Committee provides independent oversight of Australian QC’s impartiality mechanism and supports confidence in the fairness, objectivity, independence and integrity of certification activities.
For NDIS AQA activities, the Committee specifically oversees risks arising from consultant relationships, referral-source relationships, commercial arrangements, gifts and benefits, auditor external interests, conflicts of interest, public claims, complaints and appeals involving impartiality, and structural separation between audit activities, review and certification decision-making.
The Committee exists to strengthen impartiality safeguards and public confidence. It does not conduct audits, provide consultancy, sell services, manage client relationships or make certification decisions unless a separate, documented, competent and impartial function has been formally authorised.
Australian QC reserves the right to extend the closing date, seek further information from applicants, or appoint suitable candidates following completion of the assessment process.
A fixed sitting allowance is proposed for external Impartiality Committee members. The indicative allowance is $250–$350 per meeting for members and $400–$500 per meeting if appointed as Chair. Reasonable pre-approved out-of-pocket expenses may also be reimbursed. The allowance is a governance meeting fee only and is not linked to referrals, audit outcomes, certification decisions, client introductions or business performance.
Australian QC encourages applications from people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, and individuals with lived experience relevant to the disability and community services sectors.
