The Senior Family Violence practitioner role is an exciting opportunity to work across the Western Family services programs embedding the Family Violence framework, providing secondary consultation and implementing a reflective practice space for Family violence work.
At Anglicare Victoria our focus is on transforming the futures of children and young people, families and adults. Our work is based on three guiding pillars, Prevent, Protect, Empower. We offer a comprehensive network of services and seek to ensure the provision of high quality services that will bring about significant improvements in the life experience of the young people, children and families/caregivers with whom we work.
This role is all about bringing your knowledge and experience of family violence and sharing it with the wider family services team. Within the wider team, we’ll receive referrals via The Orange Door and from across the programs we run at Anglicare including Adolescent Family Violence in the Home and Family and other services. From there the family services practitioners will work closely to help clients achieve positive outcomes, all with the help of you in this role, providing support and guidance as a subject matter expert and advocate for best practice in the context of Family Violence.
You’ll also have the chance to work directly with families as well as:
This role would be perfect for a someone such as an orange door practitioner looking for a more hands on and consultative role, away from the intake, assessment, and referral nature of TOD. It could be a good pathway to develop skills aligned to a Practice Lead role if that’s your long-term goal.
What our people say about working with AV- “AV is an organisation where if you want to challenge yourself or explore opportunities, you don’t have to leave to do that. There are so many great people, programs and services, so it’s an organisation where you have great conditions for growth and development”.
