The Position

We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Community Based Aboriginal Youth Justice program in Latrobe and Baw Baw area.

The program focuses on:

• Providing cultural support to Aboriginal young people on Youth Justice Orders.
• Supporting Aboriginal young people at risk of entering the Youth Justice system
• Implementing a range of programs and activities for Aboriginal young people including a combination of recreational, cultural, educational and other activities.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Requirements

Relevant qualifications in social work, youth work, community services or related discipline, or actively studying to achieve 

We are also looking for people with:

• Ability to engage with Aboriginal young people and conduct outreach support
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the local Aboriginal community, and young people in particular
• interest in supporting young people to make change in their lives
