Anglican Overseas Aid (AOA) is a Christian international development organisation committed to dignity, equality and inclusion for people experiencing poverty and marginalisation, with a focus on gender and climate justice. We partner globally to create lasting, meaningful change with communities, churches and development organisations.

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems & Data Manager to strengthen AOA’s internal systems, data capability and ways of working during a time of increased organisational complexity, accreditation requirements, supporter engagement growth and digital transformation.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role that blends strategic leadership with practical delivery. If you love improving systems, data integrity, workflows, and staff capability — and want your work to directly support mission and impact — we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Business Systems & Data Manager leads AOA’s business systems and data function, with a strong focus on CRM (Salesforce) stewardship. The role improves data quality and reporting, streamlines workflows across the organisation, and enables staff in using systems confidently and consistently.

The role also provides day‑to‑day leadership for two part‑time Operations Officers (EA & Governance; Supporter Services), helping shape a cohesive Operations team and supporting the smooth, efficient functioning of AOA.

Key priorities in the first 6–12 months include:

  • Uplifting CRM data integrity and reporting
  • Assessing Salesforce fitness‑for‑purpose
  • Defining business requirements
  • Establishing a practical, staged systems roadmap

Key responsibilities

  • Lead CRM (Salesforce) administration, configuration, governance and continuous improvement
  • Drive organisational “ways we work” guardrails and cross‑team workflow improvements
  • Strengthen digital readiness, including privacy, cybersecurity, data protocols and AI
  • Deliver dashboards and reporting that support strategic plan and KPI tracking
  • Provide user training, enablement and change support across AOA
  • Manage two part‑time Operations Officers and coordinate operational workflows
  • Strengthen People & Culture systems (Employment Hero onboarding, reminders, performance cycle templates, WHS and compliance workflows)
  • Liaise with external technical providers, ensuring changes are understood, tested and fit‑for‑purpose

About you

You will thrive in this role if you are a systems thinker and doer who enjoys building practical solutions, improving data integrity, and enabling people across an organisation to work more effectively.

You are collaborative, organised, values‑driven, and comfortable balancing hands‑on work with influencing change.

You’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in business systems/data roles, including hands‑on CRM administration (Salesforce or equivalent)
  • Experience managing staff, coordinating workloads and supporting development in a small-team context
  • Strong capability in improving data integrity, governance and documentation
  • Experience delivering analytics, dashboards and operational reporting
  • Proven ability to train users and support adoption of new systems and processes
  • Experience working with external technical providers and vendors
  • Understanding of privacy, information security and digital readiness
  • Alignment with AOA’s Christian faith-based values

Highly regarded

  • Salesforce Administrator certification
  • Experience in not‑for‑profit fundraising operations and supporter journeys
  • Experience with BI tools and/or data integrations
  • Experience supporting procurement activities

Why work with AOA?

  • Contribute directly to global justice and community transformation
  • Be part of a small, committed, faith‑aligned team
  • Meaningfully shape systems that support accreditation and strategic performance
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
  • Supportive, collaborative culture
  • Opportunity to lead a small Operations team
