Women’s Health West provides specialist family violence services to women and their children. We also run prevention programs that promote equity and justice for women and girls in Melbourne’s west.
Our work has actively contributed to improving the health, safety and well-being of women and their children in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne since 1988. Due to an increase in demand for our services and exciting restructuring of the family violence services, we currently have the position of Personal Safety Initiative Regional Coordinator available.
The Personal Safety Initiative (PSI) is a Victorian government initiative designed to assist women who are at high risk of family violence to remain in their homes while leaving violence. The PSI Regional Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the PSI program at Women's Health West. This involves effective administration and delivery of training to internal and external stakeholders and reporting on local activity.
This role requires the preferred candidate to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Victorian family violence service system, with tertiary qualifications in social work, community development or a related discipline.
The role reports to Manager - Family Violence Partnerships and is available on a part-time (0.9 EFT), fixed-term basis for 18 months. The role is paid at WHW EA Level 6, pay point depends on experience (ranges from 83K to 87K pro rata EFT) + 9.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing.

Women’s Health West’s staff enjoy numerous benefits, including working with a professional and dedicated team of women, ongoing professional development and training, flexible working conditions, and access to an Employee Assistance Program.
