Business & Systems Manager

Health Consumers' Council

Our Story:

Like many West Australians, you may not have heard of the Health Consumers' Council of WA (‘HCC’) however, we have been a part of your life and the lives of many since 1994.

We have grown over this time to become one of the only truly independent, community-based organisations representing people’s voices in the policy, planning, research and delivery of the Government’s health services. The autonomous and important role we play in the system helps us to not only amplify the voices of people experiencing difficulties in the health system, but to also train and support people who want to directly reform processes as a consumer representative.

How we create, influence and drive these initiatives and programs is summarised best by our VISION where equitable, person-centred, quality healthcare is available for ALL West Australians. This vision guides every service offered by HCC- and are principles that the HCC team all hold dear.

The Role:

We know the successful applicant will genuinely identify with our Vision and have an awareness of (or desire to learn) the issues facing Not-For-Profit organisations like ours and be able to help the HCC team manage change in a complex system.

As this role is part of the leadership team, it is necessary that you have complementary senior corporate services experiences and an ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organisation.

The following are just some of the core accountabilities and attributes we feel you’ll also bring to this hands-on role:

  • An inclusive and human-centred leadership style - including experience managing the Human resources capabilities of an organisation or large team.
  • Strong financial and business management skills and the ability to develop and monitor budgets and financial reports.
  • Analytical skills to identify opportunities for system and process improvements (that work in practice).
  • Experience leading the implementation of these systems.
  • Highly proficient and experienced Microsoft skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with CRM systems.
  • An understanding of Aboriginal primary health care including a proactive approach to engaging with and working in partnership with Aboriginal families and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Be comfortable working in a co-working space with your team.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or business systems would be well regarded.

We have attached a thorough Job Description that builds on these criteria- but certainly feel free to email Liezl Healy ([email protected]) using the subject line: Business & Systems Manager enquiry via EthicalJobs if you would like to briefly discuss any of the criteria.

Please note

  • Only candidates with Australian unrestricted working rights can be considered for this position.
  • You will be required to provide a current Police Clearance.
  • You must hold a valid and unrestricted WA Drivers Licence.
