What you'll be doing

Our Partners in Wellbeing Small Business Financial Counselling team at Box Hill EACH is seeking two Financial Counsellors to join their team on a work-from-home basis!

At the heart of this position is to provide professional financial counselling to small business owners to reduce financial hardship and financial difficulties resulting from the restrictions imposed by the Victorian Government to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19. Financial counselling will be undertaken through a combination of advice and information, casework, and secondary consultations.

Who we're looking for

Along with a passion for supporting others, you will have:

• A completed Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) or working towards (open to students wanting to complete placement)
• Professional membership with the Financial Counselling Victoria (FCVic)
• Demonstrated competence and experience in an area of clinical practice with clients with multiple or complex needs
• Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector, or an appreciation and understanding of community organisations and their operation, will help you navigate and be confident in possible referral pathways for clients

Who you'll be working with

Reporting to the Team Lead you will be part of a team of 14 other Financial Counsellors who work closely with other service components of the program including Wellbeing Coaches and Business Advisors. The team has an online afternoon catch-up at 4:30pm each day.
