Our Organisation

Zonta House Refuge Association Inc. (Zonta House) is a specialist service that provides safety, essential relief and support to victim-survivors who have experienced family and domestic violence (FDV). Operating since 1984, Zonta House is a not for profit organisation in Perth, Western Australia that facilitates a high volume of activities and programs. Zonta House currently has over 80 staff across 14 service arms:

  • Supported Refuge Accommodation
  • Supported Transitional Accommodation
  • Recovery Support
  • Positive Pathways to Safety for Women and their Children
  • Safer Pathways for Women and Children
  • Future Employment Connections
  • Adult Justice; Reintegration and Parenting

  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Rapid Rehousing
  • Pathways to Justice

The organisation is in a strong financial position and receives funding from a range of stakeholders including government, corporates, foundations and private donors.

The Zonta House Committee currently consists of 10 members elected every two years and we have the following Sub Committees: Finance, Risk and Compliance, Strategic Projects and Partnerships and the RAP Leadership Group. Each Committee member is required to sit on one of our Sub Committees, whose members comprise both Committee members and non-Committee members. Both Committee and Sub Committee meetings are held bi-monthly with an additional strategy session annually.

Committee Member Background

We have vacancies on the Committee and Sub Committees at present and are seeking expressions of interest from people interested in joining the Committee on a voluntary basis, who are aligned with the Zonta House purpose and values with government, legal, public relations, media and communications or marketing experience.

There is the expectation that candidates will have an understanding of financial statements, good governance practices and be able to contribute to the longer term strategic vision of the organisation.
