your opportunity

As the Commercial Finance Analyst (internally known as the Finance Business Partner), you will plays a key role in partnering with leaders across yourtown, delivering financial insights, performance reporting and commercial advice that supports informed decision making and strong financial stewardship.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Develop and maintain relationships as a trusted and valued financial partner and advisor to the relevant business leaders in providing high-quality financial planning and performance support and advice. 
  • Support the business to establish financial performance KPIs and metrics and provide analysis, evaluation and reporting of these through balance scorecards and dashboards. 
  • Support the preparation of financial data, insight and reports for senior leaders including the Board. 
  • Apply performance data into actionable insights and implement improvement actions. 
  • Undertake financial analytics and scenario modelling. 
  • Support the development of business cases, tender and costing submissions, and funding acquittals. 
  • Support the development of financial tools, templates, and processes. 

what we are looking for  

  • Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
  • CA, CPA or CIMA qualification.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting within a business partnering or commercial finance environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated experience using Power BI and Power Query to develop dashboards, reporting solutions and performance insights.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience working with large and complex datasets to identify trends and support strategic decision making.
  • Experience in financial modelling, scenario analysis and performance reporting.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong relationship building, problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
