your opportunity

Based at Kingston, and working with the Work Preparation team, this role has responsibility for formulating and implementing strategies for the referral, recruitment and engagement of participants into the Work Preparation Program SQW including Get Set for Work (GSFW) and Community Work Skills (CWS) program.

Your role will include:

  • building and maintaining strong partnerships with community, business and government stakeholders to create referral pathways for young people 
  • developing and delivering targeted community engagement and outreach activities to attract participants into programs 
  • promoting programs through information sessions, events and marketing activities to increase awareness and participation 
  • assessing young people’s eligibility, strengths and barriers, and connecting them with appropriate supports and opportunities
  • maintaining accurate records, tracking engagement outcomes and contributing to program targets and continuous improvement

You will bring:

  • passion, commitment and belief in young people
  • experience in community engagement, outreach or recruitment  and delivering promotional or marketing activities
  • strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and young people
  • well-developed organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
