Safer Nightlife Program - Training Facilitator - Perth

  • Contract Period: July 2026 (with some training sessions potentially extending into early August 2026)

We are seeking confident and engaging Training Facilitators to deliver our Safer Nightlife Program across six nightlife venues in Perth.

The program covers topics including:

  • Drink spiking awareness
  • Sexual assault prevention
  • Sexual harassment prevention
  • Responding to disclosures
  • Creating safer nightlife environments
  • Bystander intervention

Facilitators will deliver training directly to venue staff and management while representing our organisation professionally and positively.

Time Commitment

Successful applicants will be required to:

  • Attend one mandatory facilitator training session (approximately 3 to 4 hours, paid)
  • Deliver training at up to six Perth nightlife venues
  • Complete reasonable preparation and reporting requirements

Training sessions are expected to occur primarily during standard business hours (Monday to Friday), with some flexibility required.

Example shifts may include:

  • Wednesday 9:00am to 12:00pm
  • Thursday 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Final schedules will be confirmed closer to delivery.

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Confidence speaking in front of groups
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Reliability and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently
  • Commitment to sexual violence prevention and community safety
  • Ability to facilitate respectful discussions on sensitive topics
  • Availability during weekdays throughout July 2026
  • Strong self-awareness and ability to utilise appropriate wellbeing and support strategies

Role readiness 

This role involves discussing topics including sexual assault, sexual harassment, trauma, victim-survivor experiences, and drink spiking.

Applicants should consider whether they can engage with this content in a professional environment while maintaining appropriate boundaries and accessing support when required.

Selection process

Stage 1 – Written Application

Applicants submit:

  • Resume
  • Responses to application questions
  • Two-minute video explaining why they are a suitable facilitator for this role

Stage 2 – Panel Interview

Shortlisted applicants will attend an interview with a panel of three representatives from the organisation. Interview questions will assess:

  • Facilitation skills
  • Communication style
  • Professional judgement
  • Reliability and availability
  • Ability to manage sensitive discussions

Final selections will then be made.
