Working across two community development projects, the role with support from a Technical Program Manager will work to ensure that project staff, early childhood personnel and the families have increased capacity to provide quality early learning experiences for children that support their development and help them transition to school more effectively.
An important part of the work will be to support services/programs develop shared key messages for families and a common language to talk about early childhood development that reduces some of the confusion for services and families. This will include collaborating with the Kimberley Schools program as well as World Vision’s own technical advisors in the delivery of an Abecedarian Approach Australia (3A) in community playgroups and three- and four-year old’s programs in two Derby schools.
The Early Childhood Advisor is responsible for providing 3A direct mentoring and coaching to project teams, playgroup leaders as well as providing demand driven workshops for families.
This role is a fixed term position until end of June 2022 operating in a full-time capacity and will be based at our state office in Derby, Western Australia.
