Your Role

This is a senior management role reporting directly to the CEO, with senior management oversight of 4 direct reports.

The successful applicant will be directly responsible for ensuring sound management and lawful application of internal operational processes, procedures and management of all staff, including but not limited to:

  • Implement internal quality assurance systems and monitoring/reporting.
  • Maintain and update all documented operational policies and procedures (in consultation with functional team leaders)
  • Implement internal auditing of all functional lines (e.g. Administration, Marketing and Rehabilitation Provider Services)
  • Ensure Compliance reporting is performed, and any corrective action are implemented to ensure the WHC meets legislative responsibilities under relevant laws and regulations
  • Maintain all appropriate systems and processes relating to the discharge of Rehabilitation Provider Services in accordance with SIRA Approved Provider Conditions (pursuant to SIRA Approved Framework 2022)
  • Create a collegiate, transparent and ‘open’ office culture and high-performance team of staff across Parramatta and Newcastle offices
  • Engage a philosophy of ‘continuous improvement’ to drive operational performance through the sound management of staff
  • Meet budgeted expectations through excellence in operational and staff management

Your Skills

Essential Experience

  • Not For Profit experience in an operational/senior management role of at least 3 years combined duration over the last 7 years.
  • Advanced communication and computer skills (including Microsoft).
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1988, Workers Compensation Act 1987 and other relevant legislation.
  • Previous experience in a regulated environment dealing with an Industry Regulator, Approval Conditions of Consent (SIRA Framework 2022 preferred or ability to update knowledge regarding professional registration/s as a required by the SIRA Framework 2022).

Desirable Experience

  • Funding and pursuit experience in business development, including budget responsibilities for sponsors, government grants and donation support income generation.
  • Business development and marketing experience.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications (e.g. Business undergraduate degree and/or MBA, including relevant industry accreditations)
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Employer specific requirements such as security clearances
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare sector (exposure to workplace rehabilitation preferred).
  • Sound working knowledge of Workplace Injury Management or related field.
  • Workers Compensation Act 1998, Workers Compensation Act 1987 other relevant legislation.
