Women’s Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ) provides high quality legal and social support services to women, specialising in the areas of family law, domestic violence, child protection, financial abuse legal protection and sexual assault though our counselling notes protect program.

The Graphic Designer position is a back fill role while the Marketing and Communications Officer leads a WLSQ project. This mid-level graphic design role works closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer and key roles in WLSQ undertaking diverse and interesting communications tasks. This is a 3 months contract role and it is a part time with working 2 days per week.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design

  • Design content for WLSQ social media, intranet and website, including scheduling content across platforms
  • Lead the design process for updating WLSQ resources
  • Assist with WLSQ communication projects
  • Support the Fundraising and Marketing Team in the development of social media for signature events including Dancing CEOs and River to Rooftop
  • Support the Fundraising and Marketing Team in the development of appeals, donor communications and volunteer call outs
  • Comply with the WLSQ brandbook

Digital Platforms and Database:

  • Assist in maintaining access to graphic design elements

Skills and Capabilities:

  1. Qualifications and experience in graphic design
  2. Experience with Canva and Indesign
  3. Experience in social media scheduling programs e.g. Agorapulse
  4. Experience in coordinating content for external distribution abiding by brand guidelines
  5. Ability to work on multiple projects and high levels of initiative, flexibility, and adaptability
  6. Understanding of brand-based design concepts and social media advertising
  7. Ability to work in a team
  8. Accuracy and attention to detail
  9. Previous experience in a not for profit desirable

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

Successful applicants will be required to complete a National Police Check.
