Your new role

As Team Leader, you will lead and unite a multidisciplinary team delivering life-changing support to people & carers through our HACC PYP services across Baw Baw & Latrobe local government areas.

This is a role for a leader who enjoys bringing people together around a shared purpose. You'll lead team of assessment staff, community care workers, coordinators and support staff, helping them work collaboratively to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients and carers.

Success in this role isn't about having all the answers. It's about understanding what each team member needs to succeed, adapting your approach and creating an environment where people feel supported, accountable and connected to the broader purpose of the program.

You'll be confident navigating complexity, building trust and influencing across different roles and stakeholders. With a highly supportive manager behind you, you'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership capability while making a meaningful difference in the lives of people in your local community.

Your skills and experience

You will bring with you a tertiary qualification in a Disability, Social Work, Health, Welfare, Community Services related discipline, or equivalent experience.

You will also have:

  • Experience supporting and developing teams within a complex service delivery environment.
  • A collaborative leadership style that adapts to the needs, strengths and experience of different team members.
  • The ability to influence, build trust and bring people together to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Experience balancing client outcomes, team wellbeing and operational priorities.
  • Sound understanding of legislation and regulations relevant to the disability and community services sector.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A current driver's licence valid in Victoria.
