Chief Executive Officer - Peak Body Gold Coast

Windsor Group
  • People-centric & Board friendly with proven success in growth + change
  • Proactive advocate/ networker; opportunistic, shrewd & visionary
  • Gold Coast based; obligatory meetings in any state/region. 6 figure package.

This peak body exists to serve the multifarious needs of regional multicultural communities.

about the organisation

Initially formed in the 1980’s to provide services and support to migrants, refugees and international settlers making their homes on the Gold Coast, this long-established peak body is the champion for inclusive communities that value cultural diversity.

Members are comprised of distinctive communities of people who have come from different places and backgrounds.

Each of these cultural communities is unique and different from any other. Some groups have been living on the Gold Coast for decades; others are newly arrived. The commonality between populations is vested in their ‘differentness’ as they honour their distinguishing ethnicities, languages, religion, social and cultural mores.

So, for this CEO, a central driver will always be to deftly lead, navigate and advocate around policies that help bring all members and clients into an equable, more agreeable place without ever compromising their uniqueness.

This organisation is well positioned for planned growth in 2022.

With its wide and disparate membership, supportive Board, high calibre professional teams and cleanly-designed organisational structure, this is a sophisticated business, well equipped for planned growth.

Committed to delivering the highest standard of excellence in customer service, it connects with its local communities to ensure they have equitable, non-discriminatory access to contemporary, quality services. The organisations service delivery arm, “cüra”, provides in home and coordination services including Aged Care and NDIS dedicated to supporting seniors to live independently in a home of their choice. There are always issues to be faced – and these can be complex, on-going, ever-changing, often rewarding and sometimes conflicting.

Moving towards tomorrow, organisational development will focus on beneficial change primarily through networking and advocacy.

This will be driven by building rapport with influential politicians at all levels, keeping existing member groups actively engaged, growing the client data base and ensuring the service offering is finely balanced between clinical health and societal support.

To succeed in this prestigious and important leadership role, you will need a reason: a driving commitment to strengthening multicultural relationships in this country. And we look forward to hearing just what that is, in your covering letter.

To support your candidacy, you also need appropriate tertiary qualifications, such as in Health/Management or Business Administration plus an outstanding record in social, health or community services management at executive level

A personable presentation, accountability and approachability, fine commercial acumen, sound financial management skills and dedication to delivering without fail will add lustre to your application. While any experience you have in leading a Peak Body or loyal teams in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment, will be certain to gain attention.

If you would like to discuss some more about this gratifying role? Please call Adam Oakfield or Mike Conroy on 07 3211 0001.
