About WILMA Women’s Health Centre

WILMA Women’s Health Centre is a women-only Centre located in Campbelltown providing information, counselling, group work and alternative health services to women in the Macarthur area. WILMA is also active in health promotion, advocacy, lobbying and community development. WILMA is for the women of Macarthur and operates on feminist principles.

Its focus is the provision of trauma-informed, affordable services that are sensitive to the needs of women with complex health issues or recovering from violence. WILMA operates from a feminist perspective, under a social model of health where service provision is based on principles of social justice and an understanding of a gendered approach to health.

Services comprise GP and women’s health nurse clinics, complementary therapies, counselling and health education, and partnerships enable legal advice. NSW Health Sydney Local Health District provide the main sources of funding, while partnership agreements, fee for service and bequests extend service delivery.
